FIELD: electric power generation from steam. SUBSTANCE: plant using energy of geothermal source of steam has a number of interconnected power modules. Each module has steam turbine supplied with steam from mentioned source which it heats up to produce low- pressure exhaust steam; steam condenser filled with organic fluid that functions to condense hot exhaust steam and evaporate organic fluid; Rankine-cycle turbine using organic fluid; organic fluid condenser used to condense hot exhaust fluid into water; means for returning water obtained into steam condenser; electric generator connected to steam turbine and to organic-fluid turbine; adjustable control valve used to control stream flow to steam turbine and generator output power. Each module is also provided with its respective generator output power control device responding to plant load. Control is effected so that with a decrease in load on plant, control valve of one module is adjusted to reduce its power output while control valves of remaining modules are held in same positions for operation under normal conditions. In addition, facility is provided to accumulate hot exhaust steam coming from each module and to return it to well. EFFECT: improved effectiveness and economic efficiency of plant. 6 cl, 3 dwg
