FIELD: nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: existing power plant is provided, in addition, with steam-generating equipment which greatly improves its performance characteristics. For example, gas-turbine power generating system equipped with heat- recovery boiler KY-110 and high- and low-pressure microjet mixer-reheater is installed. Existing separator-reheater CP 50 may be simplified or dispensed with depending on power plant characteristics. All these measures make it possible to reduce primary-circuit temperature Thot without changing reactor power and to increase conversion cycle efficiency of power plant, to prolong its heat cycle, and to increase operating time of steam generator. Moreover, erosion and corrosion probability of secondary-circuit components including turbine blades and diaphragms is reduced. Gas-turbine generator used according to invention may also function to supply peak-power demands or stand-by power in case of accident.
