FIELD: household and industrial equipment. SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner is divided into upper part incorporating suction engine and lower part incorporating water reservoir connected along its perimeter with upper part by means of fasteners. Vacuum cleaner is further provided with suction channel partially dipped into water reservoir. Cylindrical housing is partially dipped into water reservoir and has annular gap disposed between its opposite side walls for defining siphon providing passage of outer sucked air and/or liquid by means of suction engine. At least one separating wall for large-sized contaminants is positioned in base of cylindrical housing and dipped into water. First detachable funnel-shaped deflector is hung within housing above water surface so that its perimeter portion rests upon housing. Second funnel-shaped deflector is disposed above first funnel-shaped deflector in inverted position relative to it and connected with inlet suction opening of suction engine. Such construction allows air repeatedly introduced into environment to be thoroughly separated. EFFECT: increased efficiency in preventing water drops from penetration into vacuum cleaner, improved engine protection, simplified construction and assembly. 14 cl, 5 dwg
