FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has electrodes separated by dielectric and coupled to alternating-current converter by means of electric conductors. Electrodes are shaped as plates perforated on operating surfaces and having saw-tooth side surfaces. Electrodes are arranged in body and secured on connecting wires running along device axis. Electrodes are installed in pairs opposite to each other or at angle. Device is connected to alternating-current converter of 5-40 V operating voltage for electric safety of patient. Device is brought to pathologic zone either directly or at distance of 5-10 mm. Electromagnetic field provides for required ionization of air in pathologic zone and corresponding therapeutic effect. Device allows performance of purposeful local aeroionotherapy without undesirable effect of aeroions on patient's respiratory organs. EFFECT: electric safety, simple handling. 2 cl, 1 dwg
