FIELD: apparatuses for cutting, drilling, treating surface, particularly for face hardening, applying powder coatings and polishing with use of laser beam. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mechanism for changing geometry of laser beam. Said mechanism has toothed racks arranged on inner wall of protective casing and on housing of focusing system. Toothed racks engage with gear wheels of drive units. One drive unit is arranged in inner part of housing, other drive unit - on outer surface of housing. It is possible to use electric drive units. EFFECT: possibility of adjusting "spot" dimension and constrictions of laser beam. 1 dwg
