FIELD: laser working of sheet materials, namely profiled cutting out of flat sheets by means of laser irradiation, possibly manufacture of wide-assortment different-configuration parts in machine engineering, electrical engineering, aircraft- and automobile construction. SUBSTANCE: installation includes control system and laser, two traverse bars arranged mutually in parallel and having guides for moving cross piece carrying rotary mirror and focusing lens. Cross piece includes two beams rigidly joined one with another and designed for moving bridge in direction normal relative to motion direction of cross piece. Movable unit including rotary mirror and focusing lens moves along bridge in direction parallel relative to motion direction of cross piece. It provides possibility of moving comparatively light-weight members of installation during its operation. Power of laser is not limited by its mass. EFFECT: significantly enlarged manufacturing possibilities of installation, possibility of working sheets of non-limited length due to enhanced arrangement of units of installation. 4 cl, 1 dwg
