FIELD: welding, cutting, applicable in shipbuilding and other branches of mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: two two-coordinate positioning systems with two optico-focusing heads attached to them are located on both sides of the plate to be treated. During operation of the installation both positioning systems move the optico-focusing heads interindependently. Radiation to both heads may be emitted either by two lasers, or by one of them with its subsequent separation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, especially at cutting of large-diameter parts. 3 cl, 4 dwg
