FIELD: soil science; estimating components of biologic activity of soil and monitoring its condition. SUBSTANCE: method involves random measurements of natural variations in soil condition showing its biologic activity and processing of measurement results in spectral region followed by their interpretation with respect to distribution of spectral amplitude clusters. In processing measurement results, entire spectral region is sequentially divided into octaves in direction of frequency reduction, amplitudes of spectral components of each octave are rated by scale factor 2l, where l is octave number, and octave spectrum table is compiled in which values of respective amplitudes fi of all spectrums of octaves are summed up for desired frequencies found from equation fo, where m, n are low numbers of sequence; i = 1, 2, 3 ...; k is number of divisions of each octave; is base frequency; soil condition is interpreted according to total number C of its consonance degree. EFFECT: improved accuracy and confidence of proximate analysis of soil based on measuring its integral dynamic characteristics.
