FIELD: the invention refers to the field of the ecological monitoring and diagnostics of functional condition of soils and be used in agronomy, soil science, various directions of practical agriculture and also at conducting research, cadastral and other kinds of work.

SUBSTANCE: the mode of registration of dynamics of electrical activity of soils consists in placing measuring electrodes in a soil sample and registering after that in it electric potentials. At that the soil sample is placed in a ventilated cuvette, normalized according to the degree of humidity, shielded from perturbations of humidity and the temperature of environment, and also from exterior electrostatic and magnetic fields. After that temporary dynamics of electric potentials is registered in each of horizontal layers of the soil sample for which frequency filtration of time intervals of signals is made and mathematical expectations, medium geometrical meanings of root-mean-square deviations of the magnitudes of the signals and corresponding spectral characteristics are determined. Then according to correlation of reference and factual registered magnitudes of mathematical expectations, root-mean-square deviations and spectral densities of each horizontal layer of the soil sample its dynamics of electrical activity and correspondingly its functional condition is judged.

EFFECT: allows to increase accuracy of registration of endogenous electrical activity of the soil and get quantity criteria of valuation of its dynamics.
