FIELD: decontamination of polluted working areas. SUBSTANCE: method involves production of finely dispersed encapsulant aerosols used to encapsulate polluted particulates inside contaminated medium. Aerosol is produced by means of set of ultrasonic transducers mounted below surface of entrapping liquid tank. Output signal of transducers is focused at point near liquid interface to excite surface disturbance causing escape of encapsulant aerosol from entrapping liquid. Aerosol forms thin encapsulant coating on radioactive or toxic material enabling its safe removal from working area or long-time sticking to its walls. EFFECT: improved efficiency particularly when removing radioactive dust from polluted area. 10 cl, 4 dwg
