FIELD: earth-moving machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: trench digger can be used on various construction objects. Trench digger has base chassis, frame, plough and disk-type milling cutters. Trench digger is provided with drum, which is installed on frame and can be rotated around its axis. External cylindrical surface of drum has ribs arranged along its generating lines. Disk-type milling cutters are secured on drum in such way that length of drum is larger than spacings between milling cutters. Plough is connected with frame for possible plane-parallel movement relative to frame by means of two pairs of parallel links installed parallel to planes of milling cutters and located at different levels. Upper pair of links is shorter than lower pair. Cutting part of plough is made in the form of strip. Width of strip is equal to spacing between milling cutters. Profile of rear surface of teeth of milling cutters takes configuration of involute curves. Application of aforesaid embodiment of trench digger allows for reduction of power-inputs in process of earth digging. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
