FIELD: earth: moving machinery; frozen ground rippers. SUBSTANCE: ripper has rotor wheel, and drive, hubs with chopping working members in form of two sprocket clusters installed on perimeter of rotor wheel for free rotation around their axle. Cross size of tooth of each sprocket in radial plane passing through its axis decreases from peripheral part to hub. Radial plane passing through axis of symmetry of tooth of one sprocket passes through axis of symmetry of tooth space of other sprocket. Sprockets of adjacent hubs are in different planes parallel to each other. EFFECT: improved loosening of frozen grounds. 4 cl, 5 dwg
