FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: multiphase winding of motor is made in the form of parallel circuits with unequal number of series-connected turns; one of circuits is connected in star and other one is through circuit connected in series with rectifier bridge and with field winding mounted on nonsalient-pole rotor. According to invention, stator carries pole-changing winding with pole pairs P1:P2. Additional terminals are provided at rectifier input for connecting power supply when P = P2. In this way, motor can operate at two speeds; it higher speed it runs as synchronous motor with high power characteristics and high overload capacity; at low speed it runs as asynchronous motor.
