FIELD: electrical engineering; devices for starting and controlling synchronous machines, mainly motors of specific design.
SUBSTANCE: proposed synchronous machine has three-phase running and additional windings whose first leads are connected through switch to three-phase supply mains, second leads of running winding are interconnected to form common point; uncontrolled three-phase switch whose ac leads are connected to second leads of additional three-phase stator winding and dc leads are connected through second switch to synchronous-motor field winding shorted out by circuit set up of series-connected break contact of third switch and resistor. There is three-phase choke coil inserted between second leads of additional three-phase winding and rectifier input; choke coil is shorted out by make contacts of third switch.
EFFECT: enhanced motor reliability due to reduced degree of current compounding.
