AGENT "IODANTIPIRIN" FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH TICK-BORNE ENCEPHALITIS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: an agent has 1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-iodopyrazolone-5, potato starch, crystalline glucose hydrate and magnesium stearate. For prophylactic aim an agent is given orally to patients infected with virus in the first 2 days after virus-containing tick sucking at the following schedule: by 3 tablets, 3 times per a day; in the third and fourth days - by 2 tablets, 3 times per a day and in the following 5 days - by 1 tablet, 3 times per a day. For treatment aim the above indicated schedule of intake is used. In cases of possible virus-containing tick sucking an agent is given at the dose 2 tablets, once per a day for the all period of residence in regions where the contact with ticks is possible or 2 tablets, 3 times per a day for 2 days before attendance regions where tick sucking is possible.
