FIELD: study of properties of water in water supply systems; water cooling systems and hot water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: pH value is changed through titration by decinormal solution of caustic soda depending on concentration (evaporation) coefficient of salts which do not form depositions and expected heating temperature followed by sediment of calcium carbonate. Change in calcium hardness of water is indicative of thermal stability of water. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of estimation of scaling properties of water added to water supply systems. 2 tbl
