FIELD: forest industry, applicable for generation of impulsive liquid flows, for example, for cleaning surfaces of various shape. SUBSTANCE: the valves in the impulse generator are made in the form of flat plates executing reciprocating motion in the plane perpendicular to the direction of action of dominating forces of liquid hydrostating pressure ann actuated by a reciprocating-pushing device, engageable with the valves. The reciprocating-pushing device is made as a rotary shaft with ellipsoid plates secured on it. The larger axis of the plates is positioned at angle α to the shaft axis, and the smaller one is positioned at a right angle. The smaller axis of each subsequent plate is shifter relative to the previous one by a certain angle. The mechanical trajectory of the valves is preset by guides, for example, by grooves. The plates engageable with the valves may make up part of the ellipsoid. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation at formation of impulse jets in a chain of unlimited quantity of nozzles installed in a row, reduced force for displacement of valves, eliminated impacts of load on valves, provision of preset program of their actuation. 5 cl, 2 dwg
