FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: plant has gas-turbine unit, steam turbine, exhaust-heat boiler with burner assembly and blast-air fan, booster gas compressor, electric generator, and external steam supply. Novelty is use of condensing steam turbine for starting and driving the plant which is rigidly coupled through common shaft with booster gas compressor and introduction of automatic disengaging clutch that couples common shaft of starting and driving turbine and booster compressor with gas-turbine rotor for feeding turbine with steam from external steam supply or from exhaust-heat boiler. Provision is made for accelerating gas-turbine rotor by starting and driving turbine to full speed followed by disengaging automatic clutch and raising turbine and compressor speed to level sufficient to ensure desired pressure of fuel gas upstream of combustion chamber of gas- turbine unit. In this way, steam section can function separately with gas turbine turned off. EFFECT: improved reliability and economic efficiency, simplified design of plant. 1 cl, 1 dwg
