FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes accelerating turbocompressor and turbine coupled rotors and booster compressor to starting speed by means of external starting motor, disconnecting external starting motor from rotor by means of disengaging clutch as soon as rotor gains starting speed, and accelerating turbocompressor rotor as well as free power turbine rotor to full speed. As soon as turbocompressor rotor gains rated speed, rigidly coupled rotors of booster compressor and driving gas turbine are uncoupled by means of additional disengaging clutch from turbocompressor rotor. Turbocompressor and power turbine rotors are brought to full speed simultaneously with acceleration of booster compressor and driving turbine rotors to high operating speeds of 15 000 to 20 000 rpm. Gas-turbine plant has external starting motor, booster compressor, turbocompressor with turbine, disengaging clutch mounted between booster compressor and external starting motor, power turbine, and also driving gas turbine placed between booster compressor and turbocompressor, as well as additional disengaging clutch.
