FIELD: condensing steam in steam turbine. SUBSTANCE: condenser unit has condensing fluid supply nozzle or nozzles installed in turbine exhaust pipe directly past turbine wheel. Condensing fluid is introduced in exhaust steam stream downstream of exit section of turbine wheel blades and two-phase stream is organized which is transferred to supersonic flow condition; then stream at pressure shock is transferred to subsonic flow condition and steam is condensed at pressure shock. As an alternative, low- pressure zone is organized past exit section of turbine blades wherein temperature is lower than that of condensate.
