FIELD: separation of magnetic particles from mixture containing them. SUBSTANCE: first particles are concentrated on wall of vessel where mixture is. Then particles are collected from wall of vessel with the aid of magnetic means having protective case and magnet movable relative to protective case. Invention is effective if it is necessary to collect particles from rather large volume and to transfer them into considerably smaller volume.
