METHOD AND GEAR FOR TRANSPORTATION OF SPECIMEN TO SPECIMEN VESSEL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: laboratory analyses. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and gear can be employed in laboratory to make analyses, for instance, of blood, and make it feasible to expedite process of delivery of specimens of dried blood to vessel for analysis and of removal of them from it. Method includes cutting of disc for specimen out of large-size sheet by means of punching tool, fixing of disc on tooth and transfer of tooth with mentioned disc into reaction vessel. Disc is fixed by displacement of cutout disc by punching tool towards tooth which passes through disc in this process. Gear for transportation of discs for specimens into reaction vessels arranged with certain spacing has support for large-size sheet, punching tool to cutout discs from above-mentioned sheet and teeth. Each tooth is employed to transfer cutout disc anchored on it into reaction vessel. Punching tool is mounted for movement of cutout disc towards one of above-mentioned teeth and for return to initial position after fixing mentioned disc on tooth. Teeth are anchored on rack with spacing equal to spacing of arranged reaction vessels. Gear includes aid for movement of rack over length corresponding to spacing of teeth.
