FIELD: applicable in precipitator for suspension (direction) and knocking of one or more precipitating electrodes located essentially vertically in one or more essentially parallel rows. SUBSTANCE: the device has essentially a horizontal bearing member for each row attached to which are the upper ends of the precipitating electrodes, connecting members, which connect the bearing member to the body of the electrostatic precipitator, control means for direction of shift of each row of the precipitating electrodes in the lateral and/or longitudinal direction of the electrostatic precipitator, and a knocking mechanism for knocking the precipitating electrodes of each row. This mechanism has a means for knocking, for example, a hammer and a support, connected to the bearing member. The bearing member of each row is suspended separately with the aid of connecting members, thereby providing for a minimum horizontal rotary motion at knocking, restricted for each row of precipitating electrodes, and occurring in the longitudinal direction of the electrostatic precipitator. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and simplified design. 10 cl, 4 dwg
