FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to automatic normally-closed brakes opened by energy of engine. This brake has driving and driven clutch members. Driven clutch member is loaded by power spring or springs to press clutch member to fixed housing. Driven clutch member consists of two disks one of which being brake disk. Brake has also release device transformation relative turning of clutch members into displacement of brake disk. Brake disk is connected with release device through thrust disk spring-loaded relative to brake disk. EFFECT: elimination of natural vibrations in mechanism at no torque on driven shaft when engine is operating, automatic elimination of slack caused by wear of brake lining. 7 cl, 2 dwg
