FIELD: shipbuilding; hull structural members, superstructures, etc. SUBSTANCE: laminated skin has at least two layers in cross section. At boundary of front and/or rear sides of at least one layer and/or at least one of vertices, part of boundary line of section is made in form of fragment and/or combination of fragments of oblique taper section of right circular cone. Angle of at least one of vertices of at least one of layers of section may be lesser than 180 deg. Thickness of at least one of layers is varying; thickness may increase from one edge of section to other. It may also increase or decrease from inner part of section to at least one of edges. Thickness of at least one layer may change repeatedly and intermittently. Over part of length, boundary line of at least one side of at least one of layers may be convex or concave relative to center line of section of layer. Over part of length, this boundary line may be stepped. At least one edge of material of layer may have bend and/or partial bend at repeated change of concavity, opposite concavity inclusive. Over part of length of boundary line of at least one of side or one of layers, it may have at least one recess or one projection. At least one of layers may be made from metal.
