FIELD: mechanical engineering; fasteners for metal structures. SUBSTANCE: proposed nut has at least two layers in cross section. At least part of section boundary line, on at least boundary of face and/or rear side of at least one or layers and/or on at least one of tops of at least one of layers of section, is made in form of fragment and/or combination of fragments of oblique conical section of straight round cone. Invention provides directivity of strength properties of nut built in by design with due account of its work in bend and shear, increased efficiency of locking against self-loosening if hardening compound is placed between nut body and parts, and ensures identification of manufacturer.
