FIELD: monitoring of thermal processes, specifically, means monitoring condition of steam sterilization of medical materials. SUBSTANCE: thermal melting indicator has temperature-sensitive substance placed into transparent capsule. Capsule is made in the form of bulb or vessel-semi-disc or sleeve. Bulb has neck facing inwards. Vessel-semi-disc has drop-shaped cross-section of space and hole in wall. Sleeve is shut by means of stepped plug with central hole. Space of capsule is divided into peripheral and central parts. Peripheral part is filled with melt of temperature-sensitive substance. Central part of space is not filled with melt of temperature-sensitive substance under no spatial positions of thermal indicator. Central part of space of capsule communicates with outer atmosphere. Such design of thermal melting indicator makes it feasible to ensure monitoring of sterilization temperature and density of steam which enhances reliability of steam sterilization. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of steam sterilization. 2 cl, 3 dwg
