FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle steering gears. SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic steering mechanism 1 has housing accommodating two movable members, installed for displacement relative to each other and forming together at least one controlled throttling valve (A1-A6,Ad), and pull-back device to return of these movable members in initial neutral position. One of movable members is made for being set into motion, and the other is in functional coupling with measuring device 7. Improvement of correlation between control torque and flow expansion is required for such steering mechanism. This relationship should be preferably brought to linear dependence. For this purpose measuring device 7 acts as pump, it is arranged in flow-through channel 8 closed to itself with open flow- through channel 9 passing by. Channel 9 is laid from supply connecting devices P, T to outlet connecting devices A, B. EFFECT: provision of better linear dependence of relationship between control torque and flow expansion with resulting enhanced stability of operation of steering mechanism. 20 cl, 7 dwg
