DRAINING UNIT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: underground repair of wells, specifically, draining of liquid from pump and compressor pipes. SUBSTANCE: draining unit includes cut-out member and cut-out fixture. It has hollow shaft with stepped external surface. Two longitudinal grooves, short and long, interconnected by sector recess are made in step of larger diameter on one end of shaft which carries tool extractor assembly. It includes holder anchored on head with fixing arm that limits movement of assembly along shaft. It is mounted for sliding along short groove, sector recess and long groove. The other end of shaft carries coupling which couples draining unit with pump and compressor pipes and has cut-out member with blind hole. The latter is made in the form of flange bar with end protruding into hole clearance. Cut-out fixture in the form of hollow cylinder is placed in middle part of shaft on step with smaller diameter. Hollow cylinder is mounted for free running. End of this cylinder on side of above- mentioned assembly is conical, its other end is meant for interaction with end of bar protruding into hole clearance and its cut.
