INDICATOR OF GAS ESCAPE FROM DAMAGED COSMIC OBJECT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: cosmic instruments. SUBSTANCE: indicator is used for diagnostics of untightness of large-size articles filled with gaseous component. Indicator makes it possible to reveal the fact and place of gas escape from cosmic object when tightness of cosmic object is disturbed. Gas escape is determined visually by astronaut when the latter leaves cosmic apparatus to examine place of damage. Indicator probe is made in the form of two plate-like wires with holder at one end and stack of metallized films cut into lugs and positioned between plate-like parallel wires secured to stack by means of broach. Film in stack is reinforced by adhesive tape along length of wires. Electrical connection is shaped as metallized plate passed between all layers of metallized film stack in zone of wire ends with holder. EFFECT: reliable detection of gas escape place. 3 dwg
