FIELD: DC power supplies. SUBSTANCE: in the course of operation of current source, direction of current through electrodes is periodically varied at ratio of forward and reverse pulse lengths of 1 : (10-60) and that of voltages across electrodes of 1 : (1.4-1.6). This process is implemented in device that has fuel-cell battery with voltage regulator connected with parallel-interconnected electric energy storage and load, adjustable modular converter, contact selector switch with two contactors of which one is normally open and other contactor, normally closed, and time relay; modular converter input is connected to fuel-cell battery input and converter output, to parallel-interconnected energy storage and load; time relay is connected to contact selector input; normally open contactor is connected to fuel-cell battery input and to energy storage contacts; normally closed contactor is connected to battery output and to modular converter input; voltage regulator output is connected to second input of contact selector. EFFECT: improved efficiency of augmenting process. 2 cl, 1 dwg
