FIELD: instrumentation engineering; in-service inspection of relays. SUBSTANCE: in-service inspection of relays involves check-up of one generalized variable depending on all basic specifications of relay under inspection associated with voltage or current pulse area relative to its source value. Proposed technique provides for tracing gradual failures of relay, checking combination of its variables characterizing its serviceability, and using it in existing systems without introducing any modifications. EFFECT: facilitated procedure and improved convenience when used in automatic inspection systems. 2 dwg
