FIELD: agriculture, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiological production of preparation used for control of bacterial and fungal sicknesses in plants. Method of preparing the preparation used for control of plant sicknesses that contains the complex of streptothricin antibiotics complex as an active component involves preparing the sowing material, culturing the producer - Streptomyces griseus, strain 420, on fermentation medium containing sources of nitrogen, carbon, mineral salts and lysine (from 0.01 to 0.2-%) followed by concentrating, drying cultural fluid and standardization of the end preparation. In preparing the sowing material clones showing the preferential formation of streptothricins C and D are selected by thin-layer chromatography method. Invention proposes the medium of the following composition for producer culturing, %: corn flour, 3-5; molasses, 1.5-2.0; lysine, 0.01-0.2; (NH4)2SO4 or NH4NO3-, 0.6-0.7; KH2PO4, 0.01-0.09; NaCl, 0.05-0.25; MgSO4, 0.005-0.05; CaCO3, 0.5-1.5; propinol, 0.1-0.5; and water, the balance. The yield of antibiotic is 8-9 kg/m3 of cultural fluid. EFFECT: increased yield of antibiotic. 3 cl, 3 ex
