FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the novel strain of actinomycetes used for production of antiparasitic preparations based on avermectins. Strain Streptomyces avermitilis CCM 4697 is obtained by site-directed selection of the strain Streptomyces avermitilis VNIISCHM-54 through series of intermediate variants. Selection of active variants is carried out by ability to biosynthesize avermectin complex containing avermectin of group B1 36%, not less. Avermectin content in mycelium of the strain CCM 4697 is 2300 mcg/ml. Avermectins composition, %: group A1(A1a+A1b), 7.4; group A2(A2a+A2b), 22.4; group B1(B1a+B1b), 49.6; group B2(B2a+B2b), 20.6. Mycelial extracts induce death of nematodes, mites, lice, flies, fleas, cockroaches, dipterous and orthopterous pests, clothes moth, carpet and paper-wall beetles. EFFECT: new strain indicated above, increased yield of avermectins, enhanced antiparasitic effectiveness of mycelial extracts. 2 tbl, 1 ex
