FIELD: mechanical engineering; cold and hot forging. SUBSTANCE: crank press has bed frame which carries articulated crankshaft with supports, connecting rod and slider, crankshaft support slack adjuster mechanism and mechanism for taking up slack is connections of connecting rod with crankshaft and slider. Slack adjusters have fixed and movable half-rings enclosing cylindrical surfaces of members. Half-rings are installed with clearance in cylindrical holder rigidly secured in bed frame. Fixed half-ring is rigidly secured on holder. Pneumatic toroid is installed in clearance in contact with inner surface of holder and outer surfaces of half-rings. EFFECT: prevention of vibration in press members, increased service life of press. 2 dwg
