CONROD-FREE ENGINE WITH CRANK-ROCKER MECHANISM Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC F01B9/02 F02B75/32

Abstract RU 2794018 C1

FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: conrod-free engine with a crank-rocker mechanism contains a fixed crankcase (1), one or two crankshafts (2) with additional counterweights (3), a piston (6) located in the cylinder (5) and connected by means of a rod (7) to the link, having upper and lower guides (9) and (10) with bearing surfaces located in the plane of rotation of the crankshaft (2) perpendicular to the axis of the rod (7). There are at least two rolling bearings mounted in bearing assemblies on each crank journal (12) of the crankshaft (2) next to each other. One rolling bearing is used for rolling along the supporting surface of the upper guide (9) of the link. The second rolling bearing is used for rolling along the bearing surface of the lower guide (10) of the link. In order to be able to roll along the bearing surfaces without slipping, the rolling bearings are equipped with a mechanism for turning the rolling bearings, made in form of a rack and pinion cylindrical gear, in which the toothed element is rigidly connected to the rolling bearing, and the toothed rack (23) is rigidly attached to the corresponding guide of the link, or the rolling bearing can be made in the form of a free half-roller (13) that does not have a cover, or each rolling bearing consists of two rigidly interconnected parts, namely, a half-roller (13) and a cover (15) made in form of a half-ring with a smaller outer radius than the radius of the semi-roller (13), or the semi-roller (13) can be made in one piece with the cover (15), or the semi-roller (13) and the cover (15) can have a slot in the diametrical plane and form a bed for placing the bearing assembly (17). The gear element is made in form of a gear semi-ring rigidly connected to the semi-roller (13). The outer radius of the semi-roller (13) is equal to Rs=δ⋅S/π=δ⋅2⋅R/π, where S is the piston stroke between the extreme positions, R is the radius of the crank, δ=1…1.25 ,π=3.14. The outer radius of the cover (15) is less than the radius Rs of the semi-roller (13) by at least 0.1 mm.

EFFECT: improvement of weight and size of the engine.
