FIELD: mechanical engineering, applicable for accomplishing of various operations of stamping and forging. SUBSTANCE: crank press has a bed with hinge- joined crankshaft with supports, connecting rod and crosshead, mounted in it, mechanism for take-up of clearances in the joints of the connecting rod with the crankshaft and crosshead. Each clearance take-up mechanism has a fixed and movable half-supports embracing the cylindrical surface of the working member. The movable half-support is engageable with a flexible member made in the form of a pneumatic sphere. The pneumatic sphere is manufactured of elastic material and located in a rigid sleeve made integral with the bed so that part of the sphere projects over the upper edge of the bed. The dimensions of the sphere and sleeve are bound up by a definite relation. EFFECT: enhanced durability. 2 dwg
