SUBSTANCE: washer has section boundary line in at least one of longitudinal sections. At least part of section boundary line is made in form of fragment or combination of fragments of oblique conical section of straight round cone. Invention provides making of washer with directivity of strength properties in longitudinal section of washer built-in by design, with due account of its work in bend or shear, increased efficiency of locking against self- loosening of threaded joints in contact with washer and facilitated determination of manufacturer if washer is provided with manufacturer's identification mark.
