FIELD: mechanical engineering; fasteners for metal structures. SUBSTANCE: proposed nut has section boundary line in at least one of longitudinal sections. At least part of length of section boundary line is made in form of fragment or combination of fragments of oblique conical section of straight round cone. Invention provides directivity of strength properties of nut in length of longitudinal section built in by design, with die account of its work in bend and shear, increased efficiency of locking against self-loosening if hardening compound is placed between nut body and part, and ensures identification of manufacturer.
