FIELD: equipment for cleaning of process and ventilation gases from solid particles of aerosols and gaseous impurities in technology of processing of radiated nuclear fuel; applicable in industries concerned with cleaning and cooling of high-temperature gases. SUBSTANCE: evaporator-condenser unit has body, tank with spraying liquid, jet-forming member, branch pipes of intake and discharge of gases and cooling water. For safe treatment of gas phase with fissible material, claimed unit has two shell-and-tube heat exchangers located in central part of unit body in spaced relation to each other and to body, and two zones are formed of foam generation together with jet-forming member. EFFECT: reduced specific consumption of materials and spraying liquid and higher separation efficiency and cooling of high-temperature gases due to combination in one body of two cleaning stages. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
