FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and methods for cooling and cleaning heated exhaust gases in the process of fuel combustion, thermal neutralization of industrial, household and medical waste, and can be used in petrochemical, metallurgical, energy, agricultural, food and other industries. A device for cooling and cleaning heated flue gases, comprising a housing with an inlet for introducing heated flue gases and at least one liquid evaporation section for heated flue gases and at least one recuperator and an outlet in series in the direction of the flue gas flow for removing cooled waste gases from the device, while the ratio of the heat exchange area to the volume of the recuperator is at least 250 m2/m3.
EFFECT: consists in rapid cooling of exhaust gases and increasing the degree of purification of exhaust gases from pollutants.
