FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed anti-skid stud is designed for use in tyre tread to improved adhesion with support surface. Stud has hollow body in form of bushing with flange. Wear resistant cylindrical or taper bushing is secured in space of body upper part, or from outer side of body upper part. Body is made in form of thin-walled sheet metal bushing by deep drawing method with provision of equal thickness of walls over entire length of body. Lower part of body can be made cylindrical or taper, with top of truncated cone pointed either from or to the flange. Flange is essentially ring whose peripheral part is bent or rolled through angle exceeding 90 C. EFFECT: reduced weight of stud and its destructive action onto road pavement, enhanced stability and locking of stud in tyre. 12 cl, 12 dwg
