FIELD: testing of materials.
SUBSTANCE: device for testing road pavement for wear by studded tires comprises a shaft connected to a rotation drive, on which there is a wheel with a studded tire, which is brought into contact with the surface of the analyzed pavement. Wheel with tire from karting vehicle is used as wheel with studded tires. Investigated road surface is formed on surface of cylindrical drum installed on shaft and is made of separate segments adjoining each other, each of which is made from analyzed material and is fixed on this drum, wherein diameter of outer cylindrical surface of road coating formed on drum is more than diameter of wheel with tire from karting car.
EFFECT: high reliability of obtained data of contact interaction of a car tire with a road surface owing to formation of a full contact spot of the tire with the analyzed coating formed by technology of creating a road surface of a transport infrastructure.
