FIELD: transport engineering; loaders. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method mechanical stresses in chain links are determined by detectors and control signal is transmitted to hydraulic cylinder of cross travel carriage. Device has load carriage connected with vertical travel chains, cross travel carriage and hydraulic cylinder coupled with cross travel carriage. Mechanical stress detectors installed on chains are elements of bridge circuit supplying signal through amplifier to hydraulic cylinder distributor. Proposed method of positioning of loads improves stability of loader in operation owing to load balancing, especially at load lifting. Moreover, using the device including mechanical stress detectors of left and right lifting chains and other known slave members, process of balancing can be combined with other operations and can be carried out automatically.
