FIELD: transport engineering; side dump trucks. SUBSTANCE: load on each wheel is determined by mechanical displacement detectors installed on suspension members above each wheel. Signals from detectors are supplied to unit indicating load distribution among wheels installed in driver's cab. Prior to carrying out cross centering, driver switches out body previous centered position locks and cuts in body dumping telescopic hydraulic cylinder, with all locking pins secured. By taking up clearances in joints, hydraulic cylinder lifts that side of body whose load is less than that of other side and owing to tilting of body, hydraulic cylinder tilts with its upper part to the side of smaller load. Locking pins hold body from further rise and dumping, and horizontal component of dumping force of hydraulic cylinder shifts body in cross direction. EFFECT: uniform distribution of load among dump wheels, improved stability and controllability of truck, reduced wear of parts and units and enhanced safety. 2 dwg
