FIELD: driving submersible pump units used in oil wells. SUBSTANCE: motor has frame 1 accommodating laminated stator core 2 and rotor 3 with air gap provided between them. Stator 2 is composite structure that has internal tooth zone 4 and annular yoke 5 around it. Tooth zone has jumpers 6 on air gap side and slots 7 open to yoke 5. Slots 7 of tooth zone accommodate multiturn coils of double-layer winding with end portions. Winding coils are wound of rectangular-section wire; coil sectional area is chosen from equation h = (0.9 - 1.1)b, where h is coil section height; b is width of coil sectional area. Turns of first winding layer 10 are placed in slots 7 parallel to slot axis and those of second layer 11, perpendicular to same axis. EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enlarged functional capabilities, and increased delivery of pump. 3 dwg
