FIELD: aeronautical engineering; manufacture of main rotors for helicopters. SUBSTANCE: method of forming reverse flow consists in forming branches of flow each rotating about its own axis and simultaneously about common axis. Flow form of double-start thread. Branches of flow are rotated in opposite directions rolling around each other. Flow is reversed over external field; some volume of fuel is burnt or exploded in inner area in order to increase velocity of flow. Air propulsor used for forming such flow is provided with helicopter rotor. Propulsor is set in rotation by means of four engines by direction transmission from four drive rollers and ring. Engines and rollers are located symmetrically over circle. Rollers have faces with vertices which do not coincide; they are inclined relative to of rotation; mating surfaces are made in form of arcs; rollers have propeller-shaped form. Ring has two bent blades in plane of rotation of propulsor; one blade is convex and other blade is concave in plane perpendicular to axis of rotation.
