FIELD: high-voltage cables for vehicle ignition systems and other purposes. SUBSTANCE: woven textile cord of quartz crystal threads is used as cable core which is impregnated with hydrocarbon solution obtained during peat extraction in xylene followed by heat treatment at 600-1100 C. For impregnation, use is made of 3-12% solution of carbons in xylene obtained during peat extraction in xylene. Heat treatment takes 1-24 s. Cord is impregnated until its mass increases by 10-15%.
