SUBSTANCE: method involves mechanical hexahedral-loop press-fitting in several zones by single compression at different pressures on zones with preset compression diameter on each zone according to permissible range of current densities in terms of temperature rise determined by temperature ΔT of conductor heating by current and Tc conductor overheating temperature Tr due to contact resistance at conductor-to-lug interface using equation ΔT = Tc+Tr. Such mechanical compression of multiconductor cables with varied (too small or too great number of cable conductors compared with rated value) ensures higher density of termination.
