SAUNA FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: fire fighting equipment used in sauna. SUBSTANCE: sauna with steaming room has fire protection system with barrier formed as entrance door of evacuation exit. Barrier has locking device which is opened or closed from barrier outside by key, fire and atmospheric air splitter made in the form of heat-insulated steaming room door provided with self-locking device, and device for automatic protection and switching off of electric oven. Protection system is further provided with fire suppressing device having perforated dry air tubes connected to internal water conduit. Steaming room has auxiliary device formed as automatic fire suppressing unit and device for checking the state of steaming room and supplying fire-suppressing substances. Checking device has through opening cut in heat-insulated door and closed with readily destructible heat-resistant transparent membrane. Barrier locking device has electric end switch connected to automatic switch off and electric oven protection system preventing pyrolysis gas in steaming and other rooms from explosion, and fire from spreading in adjacent rooms. The system allows safe evacuation of people from these rooms in case of occurrence of dangerous fire situation and reliable supplying of fire-suppressing substances into these rooms.
